Available on the 2017 Forte, the Blind Spot Detection system is capable of using sensors that are located along the side panels of the car to keep an eye out for vehicles entering your blind spot. When this system does detect that there is another vehicle in an area that you may not be able to see, it will automatically send you an alert and will illuminate a light on the appropriate side-view mirror to let you know it isn't safe to change lanes. Another helpful technology on the 2017 Forte is the Rear Cross Traffic Alert. Much like the Blind Spot Detection feature, this system uses sensors on the 2017 Forte to monitor the area surrounding it.
